Driving and taking your exam in Zoetermeer
Zoetermeer was built as a planned growth town and has a correspondingly sleek, modern road network: wide through streets, dozens of roundabouts, and a fine-meshed grid of separated cycle paths. That sounds comfortable, but it also means many crossing points where cyclists have right of way and where a learner can’t afford to miss a thing.
A defining feature is the crossings with RandstadRail: the light rail vehicles run on their own tracks through and alongside the city, and the level crossings and junctions demand extra alertness. Learning to drive in Zoetermeer means getting used to the interplay between cars, cyclists, and rail.
The A12 alongside the city provides the motorway portion of the exam, with a substantial rush hour toward Den Haag and Utrecht. And just outside the city the Groene Hart begins: polder roads toward Benthuizen and Moerkapelle, narrow and open, a world apart from the city streets a kilometer away.
Instructors in Zoetermeer, Lansingerland, and the Groene Hart leave their bookings to us. We book the exam on a date that fits your schedule.
