Driving and taking your exam in Goes
Goes is the exam heart of Zeeland. Learners here drive a varied mix: the compact town centre with one-way streets and shopping streets, roundabouts around the town, and the busy A58, which cuts across the island of Zuid-Beveland from west to east.
The Zeeland landscape makes its own demands. Dyke and polder roads are narrow, often sit higher than the surrounding land, and catch a lot of wind: handling crosswinds with calm steering corrections is a skill every learner here needs to master. The Zeelandbrug towards Schouwen-Duiveland and the dams of the Delta Works make the road network distinctive, with long spans over open water.
In summer, the region changes character: tourist traffic heading to the coast and the campsites fills the roads, along with caravans, cyclists and visitors unfamiliar with the area. Local instructors build their lessons around that seasonal pressure, because a learner taking their test in August is guaranteed to encounter it.
Instructors on the Bevelanden, Walcheren and Schouwen-Duiveland leave their exam administration to us. We book in Goes on a date that matches the learner’s level.
