Driving and taking your exam in Leeuwarden
Leeuwarden combines a lively town center full of cyclists, bus traffic and canals with spacious approach roads and dozens of roundabouts. The roundabout is almost the standard intersection here: anyone taking their exam in Leeuwarden must flawlessly master lane positioning, indicating, and giving way to cyclists on roundabouts.
Since the construction of the Haak om Leeuwarden, through traffic runs around the city via the N31, with aqueducts passing beneath the Frisian waterways. That gives the exam a smooth, modern motorway component, while the old approach roads have become quieter but still carry the bustle of a provincial capital.
Outside the city lies the open Frisian landscape: ribbon villages toward Stiens and Grou, bridges that regularly open during the boating season, and country roads where the wind sweeps freely across the meadows. That calls for patience and steady steering, two things a learner picks up naturally here.
For driving instructors in Friesland, we book exams at the CBR location in Leeuwarden. You do the teaching, we arrange the date, the rescheduling, and the contact with the CBR.
