Driving and taking your exam in Haarlem
Haarlem holds its exams in a compact city with narrow one-way streets, plenty of cyclists and busy arterial roads towards Amsterdam and the coast. The town centre leaves little room for error: cars parked close to the road, shoppers on foot, and bridges over the Spaarne that funnel traffic together.
On sunny days, the well-known Haarlem dynamic adds to the mix: beach traffic to Zandvoort and Bloemendaal squeezes through and around the city, and during the race weekend at the circuit, the whole region is caught up in the crowds. Learners training here get used to dealing with traffic jams, closed routes and drivers unfamiliar with the area.
The faster driving happens on the N200 and N205 and around the Waarderpolder industrial estate, where heavy goods traffic and rush-hour congestion come together. Towards Heemstede and Bloemendaal, the avenues are green and narrow, with cyclists and shoppers crossing in the village centres.
We book exams at the CBR in Haarlem for instructors from Kennemerland and the Haarlemmermeer. Fixed price, fast dates and a direct line if an exam needs to be rescheduled. You focus on the lesson.
