Driving and taking your exam in Emmeloord
Emmeloord in the Noordoostpolder is an exam location with a unique road profile: perfectly straight polder roads, long sightlines, plenty of agricultural traffic and strong crosswinds. Traffic jams are rare, but the high speeds on the provincial roads and the roundabouts around the centre thoroughly test the basics.
The temptation of the polder is well known: on a straight road with a clear view, speed creeps up unnoticed. Speed discipline and recognising equal-priority intersections in the countryside are therefore important lessons here. The A6 alongside the polder provides the motorway section, with on- and off-ramps where the difference in pace is considerable.
The Noordoostpolder was designed with Emmeloord at its centre and a ring of villages around it, from Marknesse to Ens and Tollebeek. During harvest time, long processions of tractors and tipper trailers move between the fields and the barns, and on Urk the old village centre with its narrow streets gives the routes a character all of its own.
For instructors in the polder and on Urk, we book exams at the CBR in Emmeloord. A quick date, one fixed price, and rescheduling arranged whenever needed.
