Driving and taking your exam in Apeldoorn
Apeldoorn combines wide avenues and spacious neighbourhoods with the wooded edges of the Veluwe. The city is known for its roundabouts of every shape and size, from small neighbourhood roundabouts to turbo roundabouts on the ring road. Positioning early, signalling, and giving way to cyclists on roundabouts is almost a discipline of its own here.
For the motorway section, the A1 and A50 are right around the corner, with the Beekbergen interchange as a hub. Apeldoorn’s approach roads are wide and easy to read, but well filled with commuter traffic during rush hour. Anyone taking their exam here needs to merge smoothly and choose the right lane on the ring road.
The Veluwe begins immediately on the west and south sides of the city. Narrow forest roads, deer crossing unexpectedly, and changing light under the trees call for adjusted speed and extra alertness. On busy days, day-trip traffic heading to Paleis Het Loo and the Apenheul adds to this, and in the villages towards Epe and Vaassen, traffic runs along classic village ribbons.
Instructors in and around Apeldoorn, from Twello to Epe and Beekbergen, increasingly hand over their exam administration. We book the practical exam on a date that fits, and arrange rescheduling whenever needed.
